Pastor David Banaszak

Pastor Dave has served as Pastor of the Clover Creek congregation since 1992. Dave is married to Linda, and they have two adult children Josh and Joel. Dave grew up in Everson, PA, studied geology at Penn State University, and started his career as a Geologist. In 1985 his plans changed when God called him to pastoral ministry. Dave and Linda followed the call to Virginia, where he began studies at Eastern Mennonite Seminary while serving as Pastor at Mt. Olivet Church of the Brethren in Timbreville, VA. In 1990, Dave and his family moved to Oak Brook, IL so that he could complete his M.Div. degree at Bethany Theological Seminary, and he graduated in 1992.

Pastor Dave's passions in ministry include preaching, teaching, and a keen desire to reach out to those in need through Meals on Wheels, Disaster Relief Trips, and John's Way Ministry. His messages are scripture-based, with a focus on how "the Word" is lived out in everyday life. He is currently teaching the BIBLE 101 Sunday school class which is a survey of the entire Bible from a beginner's perspective. He has also taught courses for the Church of the Brethren Susquehanna Valley Ministry Center.
